30 years of experience in creating a prestigious Pinot Noir

Origins

We have been winemakers for generations: our great-grandfather already cultivated vines in the fertile countryside adjacent to the Adige River just south of Rovereto and produced good wine.

At that time, as the harvest progressed, the grapes were crushed in a large wooden vat placed on a cart pulled by oxen directly in the countryside.

Our father Riccardo as a child joyfully contributed to the grape crushing. Preserving that memory, as an adult he continued to search for the perfect place to cultivate his passion and expertise. Until he discovered a magnificent place on the hilltop of Rovereto at Bosco della Città: here in 1979 the Dalzocchio farm began vine cultivation, certified organic since 2003.

Vision

A passion that was strengthened following travels to the Burgundy region with the discovery of the winemaking method still adopted today by the French masters of Pinot Noir, which we recognized, to our great surprise, to be completely analogous to the method once practiced by our great-grandfather!

Hence the decision to cultivate exclusively the noble Pinot Noir grapes: the first bottles date back to 1995, immediately special, in limited production of the highest quality.

A legacy now carried on by Elisabetta and Barbara, the current custodians of the Dalzocchio winery, which in 2025 celebrates the first 30 years of Pinot Noir!

Our philosophy is centered on deep respect for nature as a whole, on the constant search for harmony between earth, plants and the people who care for them, on the unwavering trust that from a perfect grape comes a wonderful wine through an ancient, simple and completely natural process.
